Film Drying Out Time
During the installation process we remove as much of the mounting solution as possible, however, some will remain trapped. It will take approx 3 to 5 days for your new window film to fully dry out. During the summer months and really hot days the film can dry in a few hours, likewise in the winter months and when it’s colder the newly installed film could take up to a few weeks to fully dry out. It is important to remember that during this time the glass may look hazy and lumpy, and there may be trapped water bubbles. This is normal, do not try to pop these bubbles in an effort to drain the moisture as you will damage the film, these will disperse once all the water has evaporated, doing so is not covered by the warranty.
Do not open your roll down windows until the date shown on your care instructions card, if you do, the film will not cure to the glass properly and the window will peel. The above actions will void your warranty.
Cleaning
Window film may be cleaned approx 30 days from installation, this can be done with a clean cloth and alcohol based cleaner or plain water. Make sure you do not use cleaning products which contain ammonia. Stick to soap and water! Also we recommend that you do not stick toys with suction pads onto the window film.
Chips And Scratches
The window film installed is of the highest quality and contains a scratch proof coating, however, caution should be used when releasing seat belts as small chips can be made in the window film due to the seat belt hitting the glass as it is released. The same applies for children’s toys or objects being scrapped along the windows. This is again not covered by the warranty.
